Costs and fundraisers information
Regular Season:
Sports fee: $75.00
This is the standard fee to participate in any extracurricular sports at Lutheran High. It is due by the end of the first week of the season. (November 17)
Basketball deposit: $250.00
This is not actually a fee, but the deposit is used to insure the proper care and return of all equipment issued. The total breakdown for the deposit can be found in the open disclosure statement. The deposit check is not cashed and is returned upon receipt of all equipment following the conclusion of the season. It is due by the end of the first week of the season. (November 17)
transportation / lodging: variable
If parent drivers are used for transportation, it is possible that we might ask for help with gas money. This type of situation will be taken care of on a case by case basis. Upon qualifying for the state tournament, some money might be required for lodging, again this will be variable based on lodging expenses.
Offseason:
local tournaments:
3 or 4 games - $25.00
7 games or more - $50.00
travelling tournaments:
If we travel to a tournament over the summer, cost of registration, food, and lodging will depend on location among other things. We are committed to trying to keep costs as low as possible, and will try to communicate total expenses at least one month prior to the activity.
team camps:
between $200 - $300 typically and covers room and board, this is variable based on which camp we attend.
individual camps:
costs vary greatly depending on quality and proximity of the camp usually.
fundraisers:
Preseason dinner meeting and fundraiser:
The team gathers together and cooks dinner for the parents prior to the preaseason informational meeting. This year we have tentatively scheduled a chili cook off! Watch the calendar of upcoming events for date and time information.

10 and under - free
Freethrow - a - thon:
This our big fundraiser for both our LHS team and our Lynx Basketball Club. We have also opened it up to participation for any of our Lutheran elementary schools. Athletes get sponsor sheets and get either a pledge per shot or flat donation. They then come to LHS and shoot for ten minutes at a designated time. Athletes then collect the money for their particular organiztion. Prizes will be awarded for most shots and most money raised. (download freethrow - a - thon form and pledge sheet)
